Policy to appoint Legal Advisors & Advocates on the panel of FBR approved

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has approved the policy to appoint Legal Advisors and Advocates on the panel of FBR. The Policy has been approved in 6^th Board-in-Council meeting held on 25^th September. In the light of directions of the Prime Minister, amendment in Rules of Business-1973 has been made which has empowered the FBR to hire Legal Advisors and Advocates on the panel of FBR and fix the professional fees.

The Policy envisages the eligibility, experience and selection process for appointment of Advocates as panel Advocates and Legal Advisors. The appointment is defined to be made through advertisement process on merit. The Policy also describes performance review, code of conduct and de-notification form the panel of FBR.

وزیر اعظم کے احکمات پر رولز آف بزنس 1973 میں ترمیم کے باعث ایف بی آر کو لیگل ایڈوائزرز اور وکلاء کی تعیناتی کے اختیارات کے بعد ایف بی آر نے لیگل ایڈوائزرز اور ایف بی آر کے پینل پر وکلاء کی تعیناتی کی پالیسی کی منظوری دے دی۔ پالیسی کی منظوری بورڈ ان کونسل کے 25 ستمبر کو ہونے والے چھٹے اجلاس میں دی گئ۔ پالیسی میں وکلاء اور لیگل ایڈوائزرز کے اہلیت، تجربہ اور سلیکشن پراسیس کے بارے میں تفصیل سے وضاحت کی گئی ہے۔ پالیسی کے تحت وکلاء اور لیگل ایڈوائزرز کی تعیناتی بذریعہ اشتہار میرٹ پر ہو گی۔ پالیسی میں پرفارمینس ، ضابطہ اخلاق اور ایف بی آر کے پینل سے ڈی نوٹیفائی ہونے سے متعلق بھی وضاحت درج ہے۔
