FBR initiates action against irregularity, corruption and inefficiency

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take action against irregularity, corruption and inefficient elements present in the organization. Since July, so far 26 officers and 19 officials have been suspended whereas three employees have been dismissed from service. Besides, permission has also been sought from the Prime Minister to initiate action against two senior officers. Those suspended included employees of Model Customs Collectorate Quetta, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Directorate of Transit Trade Peshawar and Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation IR Hyderabad whereas the dismissed employees were posted in Regional Tax Office, Faisalabad.

FBR is determined to rid the organization of corrupt and inefficient elements. Prompt action will be taken against the officers and officials found involved in irregularity and inefficiency. The image of the organization will be raised and the perception of the taxpayers and people about the organization will be improved so that the taxpayers’ can pay their due taxes in time without any hesitation and suspicion thinking that their paid taxed would be utilized on the progress of the country and welfare of the people.

An Integrity and Performance Management Unit (IPMU) has been established in FBR to address the complaints of the taxpayers against any employee. The complainant can send his complaint through telephone, e-mail and letter which will be scrutinized and investigated by senior officers. FBR will continue to put its efforts to raise revenue for the Government and will strive to achieve the objectives of the organization at all costs.

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو نے ادارے میں موجود  بے ضا بطگی،    بد عنوانی اور نا اہل عنا صر کے خلاف بھر پور کاروائی کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ اس سلسے میں جولائی کے ماہ سے شروع ہونے والے اس ایکشن میں اب تک 26 افسران اور 19 اہلکاروں کو معطل اور 3 اہلکاروں کو        بر طرف کیا جا چکا ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ دو اعلی عہدے کے افسران کیخلاف تا دیبی کاروائی کے سلسلے میں وزیر اعظم پاکستان سے اجازت مل گئی ہے۔ معطل ہونے والے افسران و اہلکاروں کا تعلق ماڈل کسٹمز کولیکٹوریٹ کوئٹہ ، پشاور، حیدر آباد، گوادر، کراچی، ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ٹرانزٹ ٹریڈ پشاوراور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف انٹیلیجنس اینڈ انوسٹی گیشن آئی آر حیدر آباد سے ہے جبکہ برطرف ہونے والے اہلکاروں کا تعلق ریجنل ٹیکس آفس فیصل آباد سے ہے۔

ایف بی آر نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا ہے کہ ادارے میں شفافیت لانے کے لئے ادارے کو بد عنوان اور نا اہل عناصر سے پاک کیا جائے گا۔کسی بھی قسم کی بے ضابطگی اور نااہلی کی نشاندہی پر فی الفور کاروائی کی جائے گی۔ ادارے کا وقار بلند کیا جائے گا اور ٹیکس گزاروں اور عوام کے ذہنوں میں ادارے کے تاثر کو بہتر بنایا جائے گا تا کہ ٹیکس گزار بغیر کسی شک و شبہ کے اپنے ذمہ کاٹیکس ادا کریں اور اس یقین کے ساتھ ادا کریں کہ ان کا ادا کیا گیا ٹیکس ملکی ترقی اور عوام کی فلاح پر خرچ ہو گا۔

اس سلسلے میں بدعنوانی اور بے ضابطگی کے خلاف کسی قسم کی شکایات کے لئے ایف بی آر میں انٹیگریٹی پرفارمنس مینجمنٹ یونٹ قائم کیا گیا ہے اور کوئی بھی شکایت کنندہ ٹیلیفون کال، ای میل یا خط کے ذریعے کسی بھی ایف بی آر کے ملازم کے خلاف شکایت بھیج سکتا ہے جس کی تحقیقات اور جانچ پڑتال اعلی سطح کے افسران کریں گے۔

ایف بی آر اس سلسلے میں اپنی ذمہ داری ادا کرتے ہوئے حکومتی ریونیو میں اضافے کے لئے کوششیں جاری رکھے گا اور ادارے کے مقاصد کو ہر صورت حاصل کر نے کی کوشش کرے گا۔
