FBR decides to honour Shaheed Dr. Abdul Qudoos by building Monument, Park and granting 10 Million to his Family

Dr. Abdul Qudoos Shaikh, Deputy Collector (DC), Anti-Smuggling, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Quetta laid down his life early morning on Tuesday 9^th July, after struggling for his life for six days. An outstanding Enforcement officer of the Pakistan Customs Service who while enforcing the writ of the government in the difficult terrain of Baluchistan was ambushed and attached on the night of 3^rd July, 2019 after seizing a container loaded with high value smuggled goods near Kolpur, Baluchistan.

Pakistan Customs in order to honor the great sacrifice of the officer has decided to rename the Kolpur Check Post from where the officer was returning late night and was ambushed by smuggler as Dr. Abdul Qudooos Shaheed Check Post and the Customs Department also plans to raise a monument and park at the spot where the officer was attacked by the smugglers. Customs Operation Wing, Federal Board of Revenue has taken measures by allocating Rs. 10 million to support the family of the deceased officer from the Customs Common Pool Fund in order to appreciate the dedication and professional commitment to the organization shown by the shaheed officer. Furthermore, meritorious reward equal to Thirty Six salaries has also been sanctioned to Dr. Abdul Qudoos (shaeed DC) for his outstanding services.

Mr. Shabbar Zaidi, Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue is recommending name of the decease officer for award of the highest civil award to be conferred on Independence Day. Chairman FBR has stated that the whole department stands by the family of the deceased officer in these testing times.

ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس شیخ ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر اینٹی سمگلنگ ماڈل کسٹم کولیکٹوریٹ کویٹہ چھ دن زندگی اور موت کی کشمکش میں رہنے کے بعد منگل کی صبح زخموں کی تاب نہ لاتے ہوئے خالق حقیقی سے جا ملے ۔  ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس شیخ پاکستان کسٹمز سروس انفورسمنٹ ونگ کے بہترین افسروں میں شمار ہوتے تھے ۔ ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس شیخ پرتین جولائی کی رات کو کوہل پور بلوچستان سے قیمتی سمگلنگ اشیاء کے کنٹینر کو پکڑنے کے بعد اس وقت نا معلوم مسلح افراد نے حملہ کیاجب وہ واپس ہیڈکوارٹر کویٹہ جا رہےتھے پاکستان کسٹمز سروس نے ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس کی اس بہادری اور قربانی کو زندہ رکھنے کے لئےکول پور چیک پوسٹ جہاں ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس پر حملہ ہوا تھااس کا نام ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس شہید چیک پوسٹ رکھنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔ کسٹمز ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے مذید فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ جس جگہ ڈاکٹر عبدل قدوس پر اسمگلرز کی طرف سے حملہ ہوا تھا وہاں شہید افسر کی یاد میں ایک یادگار اور پارک بنایا جائے،

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریوینیو کے کسٹمز آپریشن ونگ نے شہید افسر کی جرات اور بے لوث خدمت پر اس کے خاندان کے لئےکسٹمز پول فنڈسے ایک کروڑ روپے کے عطیہ کا اعلان کیا ہے مزید چھتیس تنخواہوں کے برابر اعزازیہ  کی بھی شہید افسر کے لیے منظوری دی ہے۔

سید محد شبر زیدی چیرمین ایف بی آر شہید افسر کا نام اعلی ترین سول ایوارڈ کے لئے بھی نامزد کر رہے ہیں جو کہ ہر سال یوم آزادی پر دیا جاتا ہے۔ چیرمین ایف بی آر نے مزید کہا ہے کہ تمام افسران مشکل کی اس گھڑی میں شہید افسر کے خاندان کے ساتھ کھڑے ہیں۔
