Ambassador of Iran Calls on Chairman FBR
Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam called on Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana today at FBR HQs. Member (Admin), Member Customs (Operations) and senior officials of FBR were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters pertaining to customs, effective border management and smooth flow of cross border trade between the two countries especially through Mir Javeh-Taftan crossing point.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of installing more gates at Mir Javeh-Taftan crossing point to ensure smooth movement of cross border trade as well as of the pilgrims. The Iranian Ambassador also opined that making Rimdan-Gabd crossing point functional can lead to increased bilateral trade between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to further enhance trade and communications between the two brotherly countries. Chairman FBR assured full cooperation to resolve customs-related issues to further boost bilateral trade.
It was also agreed that relevant officials from the two countries will hold another meeting by the end of this month to resolve all border related issues.
ایران کے سفیر کی چیئرمین ایف بی آر سے ملاقات
پاکستان میں ایران کے سفیر ڈاکٹر رضا امیری مغدم نے جمعہ کے روز چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو ملک امجد زبیر ٹوانہ سے ایف بی آر ہیڈکوارٹرز اسلام آباد میں ملاقات کی جس میں ممبر (ایڈمن) ،ممبر کسٹمز (آپریشنز )اور ایف بی آر کے سینئر حکام موجود تھے۔ ملاقات کے دوران دونوں فریقین نے کسٹمزسے متعلق اُمور، موثر بارڈر مینجمنٹ اور دونوں ممالک کے درمیان سرحد پار تجارت باالخصوص میر جاوے۔تفتان کراسنگ پوائنٹ کے راستے باآسانی روانی پر تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
فریقین نے میر جاوے۔تفتان کراسنگ پوائنٹ پر مزید گیٹ نصب کرنے کے امکان پر بھی تبادلہ خیال کیا تاکہ سرحد پار تجارت اور زائرین کی آسانی سے نقل وحمل کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔ ایرانی سفیر نے کہا کہ رمدان۔گبد کراسنگ پوائنٹ کو فعال بنانے سے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان دو طرفہ تجارت میں مزید اضافہ ہو سکتا ہے۔
فریقین نے دونوں برادر ممالک کے درمیان تجارت کو مزید بڑھانے پر بھی اتفاق کیا۔چیئرمین ایف بی آر نے دو طرفہ تجارت کے فروغ کے لئے کسٹمز سے متعلق مسائل کے حل کے لئے مکمل تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔
اجلاس میں اتفاق کیا گیا کہ بارڈر سے متعلق تمام معاملات کو حل کرنے کے لئے دونوں ممالک کے متعلقہ حکام اس ماہ کے آخر تک ایک اور میٹنگ کریں گے۔
