• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, Under directions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Mari Coordinator IREN Sindh-Baluchistan, the IREN squad of RTO-II headed by Naimatullah Bhutto conducted raid on distribution of Champion and found 23 ( 230,000/- sticks) cartons of Champion, Kisan and Hero brand of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax barcode sticker. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II Karachi premises for further legal action.
• On 02-06-2023 receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, the IREN squad of RTO Gujranwala headed by Rana Nadeem IRAO conducted raid ion shop located in Rajkot, Gujranwala and found 20 (200,000/- sticks) cartons of kisan and Master brand of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax bar cobe sticker. The stock has been shifted to FBR RTO, Gujranwala office for further legal action.

IREN Bahawalpur seized various cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes in Rahim Yar Khan today on 05-06-2023

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, on directions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Mari Coordinator IREN Sindh-Baluchistan, the IREN squad of RTO-II headed by Naimatullah Bhutto conducted raid on distribution of Melbourn and found 10 ( 100,000/- sticks) cartons of Melbourn, Lord and Alliance brands of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax barcode sticker. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II Karachi premises for further legal action.
• Various cartons of cigarettes (Pilot, Olympic ) on which FED/ST was not paid confiscated by IREN, RTO Faisalabad from a stockiest located at Allama iqbal road, Toba tek Singh(Jhang Zone Jurisdiction).

  Today On 07-06-2023 on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes the IREN squad of RTO Hyderabad headed by Akhtar Hussain DC-IR conducted raid on a distributor namely Mr. Iftikhar Ali (Liaquatabad Colony Hyderabad) and found 20( 200,000/- sticks) cartons of Olympic, Canton, Goldstreet etc brands of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax barcode sticker. The stock has been shifted to RTO-Hyderabad premises for further legal action.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Bahawalpur conducted a raid on premises of a distributor in Bahawalnagar and found 150,000 sticks of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office, Bahawalnagar for further legal action.
• The IREN team of RTO Sahiwal has confiscated 90,000 sticks of Gold Street brand during road vigilance from Pakpattan today on 08-06-2023.
• Last night, an IBO was carried out by IREN RTO SGD around 5:00 AM, resulting in a seizure of 225 Cartons of Classic Brand non-duty/tax paid cigarettes. The cache of the confiscated stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.
• Team of I&I Lahore has seized 47 cartons of local brand cigarettes from a stockiest in Sheikhupura today. No tax stamps are affixed.

• Today (16-06-2023) on receipt of credible information regarding transportation of non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Bahawalpur, headed by Malik Sajjad Ahmed Joiya, Superintendent Inland Revenue, intercepted a truck in Rahim Yar Khan and found 160 cartons of Three Cut, Member and Power brand of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock is being shifted to FBR office for further legal action.

• Today (20-06-2023), on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Multan headed by Mr. Muhammad Amir, IIR, conducted raid in Jampur and found 12 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes of different brands. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further legal action.

• Today (20-06-2023), on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Multan headed by Mr. Rab Nawaz Bhatti ACIR and Mr. Muhammad Amir, IIR, conducted raid in Jahanian tehsil of Khanewal district and found 63 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes of different brands. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further legal action.

• Today (June 20, 2023, Tuesday), on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub seized 46 cartons of Misc. Local/Imported Brands from Chakwal and Dhudial Markets which are seized on account of non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation Total Number of seized cartons are 416 in the Month of June 2023 till date.

• 21-06-2023 on a tip of information regarding non-tax paid cigarettes the IREN squad of I&I Hyderabad on the directions of Director Mr. Lal Mohd & Regional Coordinator Mr. Aslam Marri, visited the premises of distributor Mr. Amanullah of Umerkot city and found 18 cartons (180,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. • On 22-06-2023 receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, the IREN squad of RTO Gujranwala headed by Rana Nadeem IRAO conducted raid ion shop located in Pindi Bhatian and found 61 (750,000 sticks) cartons of kisan and Gold street brand of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax bar code sticker. The stock has been shifted to FBR RTO, Gujranwala office for further legal action.

• 22-06-2023 on a tip of information regarding non-tax paid cigarettes, the IREN squad of RTO sukkur on the directions of Regional Coordinator Mr. Aslam Marri, led by Muhammad Yaqoob Rajper DCIR visited a godown at sukkur city and found 11 cartons (110,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock has been shifted to RTO Sukkur for further legal action.

• 22-06-2023 on a tip of information regarding non-taxes paid cigarettes the IREN squad of I&I Hyderabad on the directions of Director Mr. Lal Mohammad & Regional Coordinator Mr. Aslam Marri, visited the premises of distributor Mr. Qurban Ali of Tando Allahyar city and found 12 cartons (120,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. • Today (25-06-2023) The IREN team of Pakpattan headed by Zahur Ahmad IIR confiscated 20 cartons of Milburn brand nonduty paid cigarettes from Pakpattan city today 25/06/2023. The stock has been shifted to the Pakpattan office.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Bahawalnagar conducted a raid in Bahawalnagar and found 06 cartons of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes of local and international brands. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further legal action.

• On credible information, IREN squad RTO, Multan headed by Mr. Rab Nawaz Bhatti, ACIR, intercepted a vehicle (Truck No. LPT 7645) and recovered 200 cartons of different brands i.e., Wonder, President and Pine Light brands of non-duty paid cigarettes. Stock and vehicle shifted to FBR office for further proceedings.

• During field surveillance, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a vehicle. (Shahzore) on GT Road at Sohawa and found 100 cartons of non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes of brand Member. The vehicle was moving towards Chakwal. Stock has been shifted to the FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information regarding transportation of non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan headed by Mr. Rab Nawaz Bhatti, ACIR and Mr. Muhammad Amir, IIR, intercepted a bus at Pull Dot DG Khan and found 12 cartons of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes of international brands. The stock is being shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• On receipt of creditable information, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a truck in Raja Bazar Rawalpindi, loaded with sacks of onions but after properly checking the truck, 42 cartons of foreign Brands cigarettes were found under the sacks of onions.
• In another activity on fields surveillance 19 cartons of misc. local Brand cigarettes were also found in misc. shops. All cigarettes (42+19 =61 cartons) are seized on account of non-duty paid/counterfeit cigarettes and stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.
• on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, the team of I & I Lahore along with IREN Lahore squad conducted raid on a shop located in Sheikhupura and seized 60 cartons of “Kisan” and Gold street brand of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes without tax sticker and some counterfeit/ imported brand cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to IREN Lahore godown office for further inquiry / investigation.

• on a tip of information regarding nontaxes paid cigarettes the IREN squad of I&I Hyderabad on the directions of Director Lal Mohd sb & Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, visited a godown at liaquat colony Hyderabad and found 190 cartons (1900,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock is being shifted to the warehouse for further legal action.
• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, IREN Squad of Rawalpindi Hub seized 200 cartons of *Kisan Brand from a truck in Jhelum GT Road moving towards Melsi. The cigarettes are without stamps and no documents could be presented. The same are seized on account of non-duty/taxes paid. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• Based on credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes the IREN squad of RTO Sukkar on the directions of Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, led by Muhammad Yaqoob Rajpur DCIR visited a godown at Sukkar city and found 09 cartons (90,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock has been shifted to RTO Sukkur for further legal action.

• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan headed by Mr. Rab Bawaz Bhatti, ACIR and Mr. Muhammad Amir, IIR, conducted raid in Shujabad tehsil of Multan and seized 40 cartons of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock has been shifted to RTO office for further legal proceedings.
• IREN Faisalabad Hub intercepted a moving vehicle (Suzuki Pickup) and seized 18 cartons (180,000 sticks) of "Hello" brand.

• Today (24-07-2023) on receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO, Bahawalnagar conducted a raid in Bahawalnagar and found 06 cartons of SMS brand of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further legal action.

• On receipt of credible information on 25.7.2023 regarding movement of counterfeit/non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes, IREN Squad of Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a vehicle on GT Road Jhelum and found 200 Cartons of cigarettes of Kisan brand. The cigarettes packs are neither stamped nor any credible evidence regarding payment of required duty and taxes could be presented. The stock, therefore, has been seized and shifted to the FBR office for further proceedings.
• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 23 cartons of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamp at Baseera town Distt Muzaffargarh. The stock shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• During routine surveillance today on 26-07-203, IREN team of RTO, Bahawalpur seized 3 cartons of Pine and 1 carton of Mond brand of non-duty paid cigarettes.
• Today (26-07-2023 Wednesday), On receipt of credible information, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub seized 70 cartons of different non-duty paid cigarettes of local brands i.e., kissan, gold street, good cup & champion in different activities in Rawalpindi and Jhelum city at distributor level. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information, IREN Squad Bahawalpur seized 5cartons of different non-duty paid cigarettes of local brands i.e., kissan, Petrol, Target, Boss & Hello.Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On 31.07.2023, at night an IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha, resulting in seizure of 97 Cartons of KISAN, GOLD STREET & GOLD CUP Brand non-duty/tax paid cigarettes. The cache of the confiscated stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• KP- Hub. During routine surveillance duty, Tobacco Mobile Squad No.2 intercepted a Toyota Pickup bearing Reg# TV 306 Islamabad, carrying 69 Cartons of "Decent Royal" brand of cigarettes of Souvenir Tobacco Company at 11:50 PM Dated 06/08/2023 on Mardan Swabi Road, moving from factory side toward Ismaila interchange. After investigation, it was revealed that no tax invoice was available with the driver and the vehicle was moving in utter violation of SRO 217. Therefore, the vehicle has been seized and moved towards the Shahbaz Garhi warehouse of RTO Peshawar for further investigations.

• During the field surveillance, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub found a warehouse located at G.T. Road Jhelum in which 50 cartons of different local brands (i.e kissan 10, cafe 25 and misc 15 cartons) seized on account of non-duty paid cigarettes at distributor level. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.
• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan intercepted a passenger transport vehicle at DG Khan and seized 10 cartons (100,000 sticks) of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• The surveillance squad of the Directorate of I & I Peshawar raided a godown in Muqaam Chowk Mardan and recovered from it 117 carton non-duty paid/ counterfeit cigarettes of Vital and Police brands apart from other raw material including fake stickers meant for Track & Trace. The manager of the godown could not produce any proof regarding payment of duties/taxes. The excisable goods are seized u/s 26 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 and shifted to camp office Mardan for further investigation.
• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO-II on instructions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Mari intercepted a Suzuki vehicle at Model colony of Malir and seized 50 cartons (500,000 sticks) of Kisan and Classic brands of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.
• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO-II on instructions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Visited a godwon at Shah Faisal Colony Karachi and seized 04 cartons (40,000sticks) of capstan and Morven of counterfeit brands. The stock was affixed with tax stamps but same could not be verified through Transact App of Track and Trace system. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II for further legal proceedings.

• On receipt of credible information, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a truck at G.T Road Chakwal carrying 200 cartons of Misc Local Brands of Cigarettes*. No stamps/ documentary evidence could be produced. The stock has been seized on account of non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO-II on instructions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Visited a godwon at Korangi 5 and seized 25 cartons (250,000sticks) Cricket and Express brand. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II for further legal proceedings.
• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO-II on instructions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Visited a godwon at Model Colony and seized 08 cartons (80,000sticks) Minar and Express brand. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II for further legal proceedings.
• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO-II on instructions of Dr Muhammad Aslam Visited a godwon at Shah Faisal Colony and seized 04 cartons (40,000 sticks) Counterfeit of imported brand. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II for further legal proceedings.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan headed by Mr. Rab Nawaz Bhatti, ACIR and Mr. Muhammad Amir, IIR, intercepted a passenger transport vehicle at Nagshah chowk Multan and seized 15 cartons (150,000 sticks) of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• Late night IREN Faisalabad Hub intercepted a moving vehicle in the outskirts of Toba Tek Singh and seized 116 cartons of locally manufactured cigarettes (Pine Lights). No tax stamps were affixed on packets.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, IREN Squad RTO Gujranwala headed By Rana Nadeem intercepted a Raksha at Ali pur Bypass, GT road moving towards Gujranwala carrying 35 cartons Approximately of Gold Street kisan Brand (350,000/-) sticks. The Driver did not have any documents as a result the cigarettes were seized and all the packets not bearing bar code stamp. The stock has been shifted to RTO Gujranwala office for further investigation.

• During field surveillance, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub found salesmen on motorcycle along with waredown in vicinity of Rawalpindi and found 41 cartons of Misc. local Brands of Cigarettes i.e., Kisan/Gold Street/Bridge/Highway, seized on account of non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes. Stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• An IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 38 Cartons of READER Brand non-duty/tax paid cigarettes. The cache of the confiscated stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.
• Another IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha in the night, resulting in a seizure of 297 Cartons of various brands including Player 77, SMS, MINAR, JUMP, KISAN, RIDER, GOLD STREET, CAFÉ, NEW YORK, HIGHWAY & SPEED Brand non-duty/tax paid cigarettes. The cache of the confiscated stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• An IBO regarding non-duty paid cigarettes in Arifwala, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal under directions of Dr Sajjad Sadique DCIR has confiscated 150 cartons of non-duty paid Kisan and Gold Street brands. The stock along with conveyance has been shifted to the IR office for further investigation.
• Based on credible information regarding nontaxes/duty paid cigarettes the IREN squad of RTO Sukkur on under guidance of Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, led by Muhammad Yaqoob Rajper DCIR intercepted truck bearing Registration number EA-4589 near Rohri bypass Sukkur. During the search, it was found that 310 cartons (3,100,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes were loaded in truck without tax stamps. The stock along with vehicle has been shifted to RTO Sukkur for further legal action.
• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 85 cartons (850,000 sticks) of different (Honda, Highway etc.) brands of non-duty paid cigarettes at Head Muhammadwala Road, Multan. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• 64 pack rites of Platinum and Kissan confiscated during road vigilance from Okara, the stock has been shifted to concern RTO for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 11 cartons (110,000 sticks) of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes at Khanewal Road, Near Changan show room, Jahangirabad, Multan. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• An IBO was carried out on 31.08.2023 by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 300 Cartons of CAFE & More One Brand (150 cartons each) without tax stamps in violation of section 40 C (2) of STA 1990. The cache of the confiscated stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• The IREN team of RTO Sahiwal confiscated about 9 cartons of various non-duty paid brands from Hujra Shah Muqeem and Deplapur.

• IREN team of RTO, Bahawalpur has seized 10 cartons of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes in Khanpur today on 07-09-2023.

• Team IREN, Faisalabad confiscated 35 cartons of SMS brand cigarettes from a godown situated at Samundri Road Faisalabad. No tax stamps were affixed on packets.

• On receipt of credible information, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a truck at Sohawa GT Road Jhelum and found 100 cartons of local Brand cigarettes AJK based Kashmir Tobacco company. The stock has been seized on account of non-duty/taxes paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to Warehouse Nakodar Dina for further investigation.

• An IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 36 Cartons of Mellbrone, Champion, KISAN, Gold Cup, Honda, Hiway & Bridge) Brand without tax stamps as in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• A late night IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Hyderabad team led by Akhtar Hussain, DCIR resulting in a seizure of 392 Cartons of various brands without tax stamps as in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock is being shifted to RTO premises for further necessary action.
• On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 65 cartons (650,000 sticks) of different brands of non- duty paid cigarettes at Khanewal. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• An IBO was carried out this morning resulting in a seizure of 70 Cartons of CAFÉ) Brand without tax stamps in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.
• IREN team, RTO Peshawar seized 789 packrite of multiple brands without TTS stamps. The packrites were packed in such a way that on top and bottom of the packrite stamp affixed cigarettes were placed while the remaining packs were without TTS stamp. Further legal proceedings are underway.
• During the awareness campaign in respect of illicit trade of cigarettes through pamphlets in Mandra and Gujar Khan Market, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub seized 13 cartons of Misc local brands non stamped Cigarettes. Stock has been shifted to FBR warehouse for further investigation.
• Today in an intelligence-based operation, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal intercepted a vehicle carrying non-duty paid cigarettes of various local brands including Honda, visa etc. The vehicle along with stock of 140 cartons has been confiscated and shifted to IR office Arifwala for further proceedings.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit local and smuggled cigarettes, the IREN squad of RTO Gujranwala headed by Rana Nadeem IRAO conducted raid on two wholesaler shops in Gujranwala and found 18 cartons of different brands (kisan, cafe, pine. Milano, mound, etc.) of non-duty/tax-paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further legal action.
• On a tip of information regarding non-taxes paid cigarettes the IREN squad of I&I Hyderabad on the directions of Director Lal Mohd sb & Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, visited a godown at Hala city and found 14 cartons (1400,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock is shifted to a warehouse for further legal action.
• During road surveillance on 26-09-2023 IREN squad of I&I Hyderabad on the directions of Director Lal Mohd sb & Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, checked a goods transport company at Matyari town and found 10 cartons (1000,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes without tax stamps. The stock is shifted to a warehouse for further legal action.
• Last night, in an Intelligence Based Operation, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal under directions of Dr Sajjad Sadique, DCIR, intercepted and confiscated 02 vehicles from Pakpattan-Kasur road carrying non duty paid cigarettes. The vehicles were bound for Sheikhupura and Kasur. A stock of 210 cartons of various local brands has been shifted along with vehicles to IR office Pakpattan for further investigations.

• This morning, in an intelligence-based operation, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal under supervision of Dr Sajjad Sadique intercepted a vehicle at Arifwala Road. Upon inspection, stock of non-duty paid local brands was found in the vehicle. The vehicle along with 90 cartons have been shifted to the IR office Arifwala. This is the 4th interception by the team in a week.
• Team IREN, Faisalabad confiscated 37 cartons of HIGHWAY, HONDA, CHANCE, NEXT, VISA brand cigarettes from a godown situated at Gulistan Colony, Faisalabad. No tax stamps were affixed on packets.
• An intelligence-based operation, the IREN team of RTO Gujranwala headed by Rana Nadeem intercepted a Loder Raksha at G.T Road pindi bay pass carrying non-duty paid cigarettes of Local brands including kisan and cricket etc. The stock of 45 cartons has been confiscated and shifted to RTO office Gujranwala for further proceedings.
• An IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 17.5 Cartons of (CAFÉ, MORE ONE, MARSHALL) Brand without tax stamps as in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO Bahawalpur headed by Mr. Abdul Karim, IRO, conducted raid in Chishtian tehsil of district Bahawalnagar and found 19 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes of different brands. • On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a vehicle in Jhelum City which is carrying 61 cartons of misc. local brands (i.e., Kissan, Gold cup, Gold Street, and bridge) which are seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to Jhelum office for further investigation.
• An IBO was carried out in the night by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 7.5 Cartons of (KISSAN, CAPSTAN, CAFE) Brand without tax stamps as in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 102 cartons (1,020,000 sticks) of different brands of non-duty paid cigarettes at Mian Channu city Distt. Khanewal. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty/taxes paid/counterfeit cigarettes, IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted two vehicles in two different activities at Link Road to nankari bazar Rawalpindi (Approx at 06:00AM) and another at Bagh Sardaran Road, Raja Bazar, Rawalpindi (approx 10:00AM) carrying 45 cartons of foreign brand and 73 cartons of misc. local brands respectively. A total of 118 cartons in total have seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information, the IREN squad of RTO Multan intercepted a bus at Nagshah Chowk Multan and seized 07 cartons (70,000 sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• During field surveillance IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a vehicle at G.T. Road near Jhelum carrying 102 cartons of local Brand (i.e., Gold cup from mid ranjha brand and cafe) non-duty paid/illicit Cigarettes. The packrites are without stamps and any other valid/ legal documents. The stock thus has been seized on account of non-duty/paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• IREN team, RTO Peshawar during the last 3 days conducted information-based operations and seized the following:
• 758 cartons of 132 mm filter rods (183,000,000 filters approximately)
• Tipping paper making machine was sealed which is an undeclared machinery worth 250-300 million rupees.
• 58 packarites of Counterfeit cigarettes containing 580,000 sticks of cigarettes.
• 30 cartons of counterfeit HLs of different brands.
• 702 reels of counterfeit tipping paper.
• 60 drums of Cig chemicals (10,800 liters approx.).
• Seized 2400 pack rites (approx. 24,000,000 cig sticks) of non-TTS affixed Cigarettes/old retail printed packs of different brands.
• During two different incidents, another 7.9 million filters were seized by the tobacco squad.
• Approx revenue involved: Rs 250,000,000/- Seized goods were moved to warehouse for further legal proceedings. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On 14-10-2023 during late night hours, based on credible information regarding non-taxes/duty paid cigarettes the IREN squad of RTO sukkur on under guidance of Regional Coordinator Aslam Marri sb, led by Muhammad Yaqoob Rajper DCIR visited a godown in Kamber on kamber-Larkana road. During the search, it was found that 249 cartons (2,449,000/- sticks) of non-duty paid cigarettes of dubai brand were available in the godown without tax stamps. The stock has been shifted to RTO Sukkur for further legal action.

• On receipt of credible information IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a loader Rikshaw at Murree Chowk, Murree Rd Rawalpindi carrying 40 cartons of local misc. Brand cigarettes. Which are seized on account of non-duty/paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information, a raid was conducted by IREN team RTO Peshawar on 16/10/2023 at around 2:30am. The following goods/material were seized:
• 68 packrites of non-TTS cigarettes
• 235 cartons of HLs (4000/carton)
• 718 reels of tipping paper
• 900-1000 kg of tow (raw material for filter rod).

• Today (16-10-2023 approximately 2:00 AM, during field surveillance, the IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a Mazda vehicle on G.T Road Jhelum. 110 cartons of locally branded cigarettes were found originating from Bhimber, AJK. The stock has been seized on account of non-duty/paid/illicit Cigarettes and shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN team of RTO Bahawalpur headed by Mr. Malik Sajjad Ahmed Joiya, Superintendent Inland Revenue, conducted raids in different areas of Rahim Yar Khan and Liaqatpur and seized 19 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes of local brands. • Based on credible information regarding movement of non-duty paid cigarettes, dedicated team of RTO Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi Hub after whole day patrolling, succeeded in locating the vehicle carrying non-duty paid cigarettes at Faqir Abad near Attock on GT Road. 330 Cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes ( Kissan brand; by Paramount Tobacco Company) were being carried in the guise of supply of sand/crush. The stock has been confiscated and brought to FBR Office for further investigation as per law.

• IREN squad of RTO Sahiwal seized 6 cartons of non-duty paid cigarettes of local brands today on 25-10-2023.

• On receipt of credible information, the IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a Shahzor vehicle on G.T.Road Jhelum and found 150 cartons of locally branded cigarettes ( Gold Cup) which are seized on account of non-duty/paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock along with vehicle has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• During massive crackdown against non-duty paid/illicit cigarettes by IREN teams nationwide resulted in seizure of the following.

• Based on Credible information, IREN squad of RTO-II Visited Gulshan Maimar Town and collected 10 cartons (100,000 sticks) of duty unpaid/ counterfeit cigarettes of different brands. The stock has been shifted to RTO- II, Karachi premises for further legal proceedings.

• An IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 225 Cartons of (KISSAN & GOLD STREET) Brand without tax stamps as in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. The cache of the seized stock has been brought to RTO premises for further necessary action.

• On receipt of credible information, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized 04 cartons (40,000 sticks) of local and international brand cigarettes without TTS stamp at DG Khan. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• REN Squad RTO Rawalpindi of Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a Mazda Truck at G.T Road, Jhelum coming from Bhimber, AJK. The truck was carrying 220 cartons of locally branded cigarettes without tax stamps or valid invoices/ documents. The stock has been seized on account of non-duty/paid/illicit Cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• During field surveillance, IREN Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a truck at Nakodar Dina Check post carrying unmanufactured tobacco about 6300 kg in cartons, moving towards Azad jamu Kashmir Bimber without having any document in respect of duty/ tax paid evidence. Stock was seized and shifted to FBR warehouse for further investigation.

• IREN RAWALPINDI SQUAD conducted a minor but significant operation at Bajaur Plaza, Raja Bazar, Rawalpindi targeting go down/warehouse of illicit trade /nonduty paid cigarettes. After overcoming substantial resistance, including attempted interference in the official duty of the squad, IREN SQUAD persisted in its efforts and seized 90 cartons of misc. foreign brand cigarette from the go down along with a vehicle which was ready for supply of the stock. The stock has been shifted to FBR office for further investigation.

• RTO-II Squad along with IREN team headed by Naimatullah Bhutto AC-IR visited Shah Faisal Town, and Korangi industrial area of Karachi and found 10 cartons (100,000) sticks of duty unpaid/ counterfeit cigarettes. The stock has been shifted to RTO-II Premises for further legal proceedings.

• On receipt of credible information regarding transportation of non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan headed by Mr. Rab Nawaz Bhatti, ACIR, intercepted a vehicle at Southern Bypass, Multan and seized about 225 cartons (22,50,000 sticks) of local brand cigarettes without TTS stamps. Counting is underway. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.
• During field surveillance, the IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a vehicle at Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazar, Rawalpindi and 41 cartons of misc. foreign brand cigarettes were found which were seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit trade Cigarettes. • An IBO was carried out by IREN RTO Sargodha resulting in a seizure of 211 Cartons of various brands including Cafe, Hiway, Cricket etc which were found without tax stamps and in violation of section 40C(2) of STA 1990. • Based on credible information, the IREN squad of RTO Sukkur led by Muhammad Yaqoob DCIR RTO Sukkur under the guidance of worthy regional coordinator Sindh Baluchistan hub, Dr Aslam Mari sb intercepted a loader carrying 13x cartons (130,000 sticks) of non-duty/tax paid cigarettes. The loader driver failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to RTO Sukkur office for further proceedings as per law.

Road Jhelum, coming from Bhimber AJK and 220 cartons of local brand cigarettes were found which were seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit trade Cigarettes. • On receipt of credible information regarding nonduty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO Multan seized about 10 cartons (100,000 sticks) of foreign brand cigarettes without TTS stamp at village Kot Haibat, DG Khan. The stock has been shifted to RTO for further legal proceedings.

• Based on credible information, the IREN squad of RTO Sukkur led by Muhammad Yaqoob DCIR RTO Sukkur under the guidance of worthy regional coordinator Sindh Baluchistan hub, Dr Aslam Mari sb intercepted a mazda vehicle bearing registration number Z-4132 near babaloy bypass Sukkur. The vehicle was loaded with 123x cartons (1,230,000 sticks) of non-duty/tax paid cigarettes of LORD brand. The Mazda driver failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to RTO Sukkur office for further proceedings as per law.

• Based on credible information the IREN squad of I&I-IR Hyderabad on the directions of worthy Director I&I-IR Hyderabad/ Regional coordinator Sindh Baluchistan hub, Dr Aslam Mari sb intercepted a mazda truck at bypass Tando Allahyar. The vehicle was loaded with 200 cartons (2000000 sticks) of non-duty/tax paid. The Mazda driver failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to warehouse for further proceedings as per law.
• Based on credible information the IREN squad of RTO Sargodha intercepted a mazda vehicle bearing near Chak No.92 SB, Sargodha. The vehicle was loaded with 110 cartons of non-duty/tax paid cigarettes of GOLD STREET ‘& KISSAN brand. The Mazda driver failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to RTO premises office for further proceedings as per law.

• Based on credible information, the IREN squad of RTO-11Visited Liyari town and found 21 Cartons(2I0,000 sticks) of Kisan, Classic and counterfeit of imported cigarettes. The locally manufactured cigarettes were not affixed with tax stamps. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to RTO-II premises office for further proceedings as per law.
• IREN squad of RIO Faisalabad during routine patrolling on 25.11.2023 observed bike riders carrying nonduty/tax paid cigarettes. The bike riders failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of 13 cartons of cigarettes of different brands including Kissan, Gold Street, Hero etc has been seized and shifted to l&I godown, Faisalabad for further proceedings as per law.

• Based on credible information, the IREN squad of RTO-Il Visited Malir town and found 18 (180,000 sticks) cartons of following counterfeit brands. XMan, Milano, Robin, Miller ford, Pine, Kisan Classic Rider President Marlboro The locally manufactured cigarettes were not affixed with tax stamps. The stock of cigarettes has been shifted to RTO-Il premises office for further proceedings as per law.

• In an intelligence based operation, the IREN team of RTO Gujranwala headed by Rana Nadeem intercepted a szoki Bolan at Alim Chock Gujranwala carrying non duty paid cigarettes of Local brand "Gold street and kisan" The stock of 5 cartons has been confiscated and shifted to RTO office Gujranwala for further proceedings.

• IREN squad of RTO Faisalabad during routine patrolling on 16.12.2023 observed bike riders and salespoint carrying non duty/tax paid cigarettes. The bike riders & Salespoint failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of 28 cartons of cigarettes of different brands including Kissan, Melburn, Citi,sms etc has been seized and shifted to l&I godown, Faisalabad for further proceedings as per law.
• In an intelligence based operation, the IREN team of l&I, Hyderabad intercepted a Truck at Tando Ghulam Ali Chambar Road carrying 150 Cartons of non duty /taxes paid cigarettes of Local brand. The Driver was unable to show prescribed documents regarding the said goods, therefore, stock of 150 Cartons has been detained on account of non availability of prescribed documentary evidences nd shifted to warehouse.

• IREN squad of RTO Faisalabad during routine patrolling on 17.12.2023 found loader rikshaw carrying 43 CTNS non duty/tax paid cigarettes. The rikshaw driver failed to produce any documents and examination of the cartons revealed that no tax stamps were affixed on them. The stock of 43 cartons of cigarettes of different brands including Kissan, Gold street etc has been seized and shifted to l&I godown, Faisalabad for further proceedings as per law.

• The IREN team of RTO Sahiwal confiscated 07 cartons of non duty paid cigarettes from Okara and Chichawatni. The stock contained brands like Honda, Visa, Platinum. The stock has been shifted to relevant offices for further proceedings.

• In an intelligence based operation, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal confiscated 90 cartons of non duty paid local brands cigarettes from Kassowal ada, Tehsil Chichawatni. The stock has been shifted to Chichawatni office for further investigations.

• An intelligence based operation, the IREN team of RTO Sahiwal confiscated 93 cartons of non duty paid local brands cigarettes from Basirpur, Depalpur. The stock has been shifted to Okara office for further investigations.
• On receipt of credible information regarding non-duty paid cigarettes, IREN squad of RTO, Multan conducted raid at DG Khan and seized 06 cartons (60,000 sticks) of cigarettes without ITS stamps. The stock has been shifted to FBR for further legal proceedings.

• An !BO was carried out by the IREN squad of RTO Sargodha in the surrounding areas of district Khushab resulting in the seizure of 201 Cartons of various brands including Cafe, God Street, Kissan, Classic & Marshal etc which were not affixed with tax stamps. The said stock of cigarettes is being shifted to RTO premises for further proceedings as per law.

• On credible information, the IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub intercepted a truck on GT Road Jhelum and found 100 cartons of local misc brand cigarettes which were seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit trade Cigarettes.

• On credible information, the IREN Squad Rawalpindi Hub visited a warehouse located at village Kasraaan District Rawalpindi and found 60 cartons of local misc brand cigarettes which were seized on account of non-duty paid/illicit trade Cigarettes

• IREN RTO Sargodha acting on a tip-off intercepted a truck bearing Reg No. LES. 8689 near Salam Interchange M2 carrying 200 Cartons of Cafe brand cigarettes. The said stock was not affixed with tax stamps. Hence, the stock along with the vehicle has been seized and shifted to RTO premises for further proceedings under the law.
