Visit of Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Regional Tax Office Sukkur to Chamber of Trade and Commerce Larkana

Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Sukkur visited Tax Facilitation Larkana on 11-08-2014. He was accompanied by Mr. Abdul Hameed Sangi Commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone-II and Mr. Makhno Mahar, Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone-II.

The Chief Commissioner held meeting with the Tax Bar Larkana and members of the Chambers of Trade and Industries Larkana separately. Mr. Anwar Ali Janvari, the president Larkana Tax Bar, Mr. Muhammad Azam Shaikh General Secretary Larkana Tax Bar and other members warmly welcomed the Chief Commissioner and other officers of the RTO Sukkur. They ensured their full support and help in collection of taxes and filing of returns.
The Chief Commissioner thanked them for their cooperation and appreciated the role of Larkana Tax Bar in the collection of taxes and compliance of tax laws.
The Chief Commissioner also visited the office of the Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Mr Anwar Ali Shaikh, president Larkana and Mr. Khair Muhammad Shaikh General Secretary Chamber welcomed the Chief Commissioner. They showed their happiness and joy on the visited of Chief Commissioner to the chamber after a long time. They also presented their problems regarding unawareness of new provisions of law specially matters regarding withholding taxes and Broading of Tax Base. The Chief Commissioner briefly described the new provision of law specially the concept of Non-filers and the cost of non-compliance. He also put light on the provision of Sales tax regarding retailers. It was also decided that a Seminar during the month of August would be arranged to educate the members of trade bodies and withholding agents regarding new provisions.
At the end, all members of the Chamber thanked the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue for his attention to their problems and the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue also thanked the chamber for their hospitality and interest in tax compliance.
