Training on Litigation Management at Directorate of Training and Research Lahore.
FBR’s legal wing completed a three-day, training activity on Litigation Management System at Directorate General of Training and Research (DOT), Lahore. Officers of Inland Revenue from Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Sargodha participated.
Member Legal Mr. Aqil Usman while inaugurating the training highlighted the importance of the Litigation Management Software (LMS) system and directed the senior management of LTUs and RTOs to get the system implemented. The 3-day training built the capacity of 81 officers and officials as Master Trainers.
This system aims at streamlining data entry and its updation of information on Supreme Court and High Court cases (References, Writ Petitions, CPLAs etc.) into the Litigation Management software. FBR plans to extend this training to its entire field staff. This will enable senior management with instant access to position on litigated cases, bring improvement in the tax-legal system at FBR.
