CAMPAIGN BY COMMISSIONER INLAND REVENUE, SAHIWAL ZONE, SAHIWAL FOR AWARENESS AND BENEFITS OF THE VOLUNTARY TAX COMPLIANCE SCHEME (VTCS)
A seminar was held on 16.02.2016 in the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Fateh Sher Road, Sahiwal . The Commissioner Inland Revenue, Sahiwal Zone, Sahiwal, Mr. Muhammad Farrukh Majid presided over the seminar. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness and understanding of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) among the business community. Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, Sahiwal Range, Sahiwal namely, Mr. Ali Adnan Khan,Mr. Qadir Nawaz, Deputy Commissioner Audit, Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Assistant Commissioner and Inland Revenue Officers of the zone were also present on the occasion.
The representatives of the trade organizations included namely Sh. Shahzad Ahmed, President, Mr. Mohsin Kareem Senior Vice President, Mohsin Chohan Vice President and Ex-Presidents, namely, Sh. Azmat Saleem, Ch. Safdar Rasheed, Mr. Muhammad Hussain Zahid, Ch. Arshad Hussain, Rana Waseem Akhtar and Mr. Sohail Anjum.
During the address the CIR explained salient features of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme and its benefits to the participants at length. Copies of the brochures/pamphlets in Urdu, containing salient features of the Scheme, were distributed to the representatives of Trade Associations for their guidance.
During his address, the Commissioner, Sahiwal Zone, Sahiwal asked to traders not to fear from the department and show the confidence in this regard. During the question/answer session, queries of the participants on different aspects of the Scheme were answered to the satisfaction of the traders.
The Commissioner told the participants that the officers and officials have been directed to reach out to traders and markets within their jurisdiction and to convince them of the benefits of this Scheme. The President Sh. Shahzad Ahmed and others assured the Commissioner that they will assist and provide every help to FBR staff in establishing kiosks at different market premises. At the end, all the participants showed full satisfaction with the Scheme and resolved to extend their complete cooperation to make the VTCS successful.
In the end, the Commissioner thanked the trader representatives for cooperation in conducting the seminar and assuring help to make this Scheme a success.
