RTO Karachi, Workshop on E-Filling of Returns/Statements
Regional Tax Office, Karachi has recently organized a training workshop, on e-filling of Income Tax, Sales Tax Returns and Withholding Tax statements, on Saturday 30th July, 2011 in the main Auditorium of this office. Office bearers of various trade associations as well as chief executives and financial managers of leading taxpayers were invited to attend the said workshop. It turned out to be very successful programme which was attended by more than 80 leading personalities of trade and industry including office bearers of All Pakistan Textile Mills Associates (APTMA), Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association, Pakistan Denim Manufactures& Exporters Association (PDMEA), Pakistan Hosiery Mills Association (PHMA) and Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association. A list of the participants is enclosed for kind perusal.

Mr. Tariq Hussain Shaikh (Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue), Mr. Abdul Hameed Anjum (Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue) and Mr. Umair Soomro (Manager, PRAL) made presentations on Income Tax, Sales Tax and computer related issues respectively. Mr. Junaid Nawab, Chairman Customs, Sales Tax & Industry Committee of APTMA made a note of thanks before the conclusion of the session. The said initiative of this RTO was highly appreciated by the participants and they impressed upon the need of holding similar sessions more frequently.
