Meeting with all Pakistan Chemical and Dyes merchants association under the chairmanship of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Rahu, Commissioner Inland Revenue, Zone-I, Regional Tax Office-II Karachi

REPORT ON MEETING WITH ALL PAKISTAN CHEMICAL AND DYES MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIIP FO DR. GHULAM MUSTAFA RAHU, COMMISSIONER INLAND REVENUE, ZONE-I, REGIONAL TAX OFFICE-II KARACHI DATED 19/09/2013.

1. Meeting with representatives of All Pakistan chemical and dyes merchants association (A.P.C.D.M.A), Karachi was arranged in the office of Commissioner Zone-I, R.T.O-II on 19/9/2013 with the purpose to create awareness among the taxpayers and to discuss and educate the members of the Chambers/Trade bodies about the new revenue measures adopted with regard to Income Tax, Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty through Finance Act, 2013, new developments in law, rules and procedures and to get their feedback/views and resolving their issues/problems.

2. At the outset, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Rahu, Commissioner Zone-I, RTO-II welcomed the participants in meeting and shared the purpose of meeting with a resolve that series of such type of meetings/ workshops shall be held regularly with different trade bodies with an aim to bring improvement in accessibility of officers, building confidence among taxpayers and showing the taxpayer-friendly face of F.B.R.
3. Mr. Asif Jamali, Deputy Commissioner, I.R, gave detailed presentation on Finance Act, 2013 and briefed the participants about new developments in Sales Tax Act, CREST software and invited Questions from representatives of Trade body. The questions were responded by C.I.T, IACs E&C and IAC Audit.
4. Mr. Saleem Wali Muhammad, Chairman P.C.D.M.A , Mr. Zubair Riaz, vice Chairman, P.C.D.M.A and other members thanked the chair for such initiative of educating the representatives of trade associations and assured of their all out cooperation, feedback and voluntary compliance and ensured their commitment to cooperate in implementation of new provisions in law and rules in the larger interest of national revenue.
