Inauguration of Broadening of Tax Base (BTB) Zone, Karachi by Chairman FBR.
The Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Mr. Tariq Mahmood Pasha, inaugurated the Broadening of Tax Base (BTB) Zone, RTO-II, Karachi on the 3rd Floor of Inland Revenue House, Kamal Attaturk Avenue, Karachi on Monday, the 18th December, 2017.
The Chairman appreciated the establishment of BTB Zone in a shortest possible time and applauded the efforts taken by Chief Commissioners-IR Corporate RTO, RTO-II and LTU-II in making it fully functional. On the very occasion, Chairman FBR while addressing the officers apprised that, BTB Units throughout the country have been created under the special directives of Prime Minister Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, and all out efforts may now be taken to net the new potential taxpayers.
Early on, while addressing all the Commissioners, of all five field formations in Karachi at LTU Karachi, the Chairman FBR emphasized the need to facilitate the taxpayers, redress their grievances on merit in a speedy fashion and maintain the current revenue growth at 20% of revenue budget till the end of Financial Year 2017-18, specially 2nd quarter ending on 31st December, 2017. The Chairman further said that field formations to present better image of the organization in the society through transparency, fair play in their actions and better coordination with peer public sector agencies.
