FBR Authorizes Vendors for Production Monitoring in Beverages Sub-Sectors
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has taken another significant step towards strengthening transparency and compliance in key industrial sectors by finalizing the authorization of vendors for installation of production monitoring solutions in the beverages sub-sectors, namely Bottled Water and Packaged Juices.
In this regard, the following firms have been duly authorized as vendors for deployment and implementation of production monitoring solutions:
- M/s ISSM Labelling Solutions
- M/s Tollink
- M/s Authentik
The authorization of these vendors has been carried out through a transparent and competitive process in accordance with applicable regulatory frameworks, ensuring that the selected firms possess the requisite technical and operational capacity to deliver reliable monitoring solutions.
It is pertinent to highlight that FBR has already successfully implemented production monitoring and track-and-trace systems in major sectors including Cement, Sugar, Fertilizer, and Tobacco, which have significantly enhanced revenue assurance and minimized leakages.
Furthermore, FBR has recently finalized the deployment of production monitoring solutions based on video analytics in the Textile and Tiles sectors, which are currently in the implementation phase. These initiatives reflect FBR’s continued commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for improving documentation, ensuring real-time monitoring, and promoting a fair and transparent business environment.
The expansion of production monitoring to additional sectors, including beverages, is part of FBR’s broader strategy to enhance tax compliance, broaden the tax base, and ensure equitable enforcement across industries.
FBR remains committed to facilitating businesses through modern, technology-driven solutions while ensuring effective regulatory oversight and revenue mobilization in line with national economic objectives.
