A delegation of Sukkur Small Traders & Cottage Industries held a meeting with the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office, Sukkur at RTO building Sukkur on 08/01/2015.
The delegation was led by Mr.Haroon Memon & Other Office bearers. The meeting was chaired by:
- Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Chief Commissioner IR, RTO, Sukkur
- Mr. Hyder Ali Dharejo Commissioner IR, Zone-II, RTO Sukkur
- Mr. Abdul Rehman Bullo Commissioner IR, Zone-I, RTO Sukkur
- Dr.Pervez Ahmed Shar Additional Commissioner (HQs) RTO Sukkur
- Mr.Zahid Hussain Assistant Commissioner IR Enf Unit-I, RTO Sukkur.
The Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue gave a brief description of working and jurisdiction of RTO Sukkur to all delegates. Chief Commissioner IR, RTO, Sukkur briefed the delegation about the new budgetary measures and audit policy of FBR including discussion on Withholding Taxes & Broadening of Tax Base at length. The delegation was apprised that their cooperation for recoveries in arrear and current demand will be highly appreciated. Chief Commissioner told the delegation that taxpayer facilitation & transparency is hall mark of the policy of FBR. The delegation apprised the Chief Commissioner IR that in total audit small cases are also selected which need sympathetic consideration at the time of disposal and may be disposed off by increasing tax at 20% of the declared tax liability. The CCIR assured them that the cases will be disposed off on merit and case to case basis and sympathetically in deserving small cases. Mr. Haroon Memon, President of Small Traders & Cottage Industries also thanked Chief Commissioner and assured then cooperation at all levels. Meeting ended in cordial atmosphere with note of thanks.
