ایف بی آر کی پریس ریلیز

In line with the vision of Prime Minister, Pakistan Customs, FBR being the lead counter-smuggling agency has taken concrete steps to curb the menace of smuggling. These steps are yielding excellent results and thus providing better environment to the local economy and industry for achieving its growth. 

During 7 months (July 2020-Jan 2021) of current financial year smuggled goods worth Rs. 35 billion have been seized thus showing an increase of 59% when compared to the corresponding period (Jul 2019-Jan 2020) of the last financial year when smuggled goods worth Rs 22 Billion were seized. Moreover, the counter-smuggling performance of 7 months of current FY is almost equal to the performance of 12 months of last FY when smuggled items worth Rs 36 billion were seized. 

During current FY, the increase in value of seizure as compared to last FY has been recorded in Non-Custom Paid (NCP) vehicles-Rs. 11.3 billion (66%), betal nuts-Rs. 3.4 billion (105%), fabrics-Rs. 1.9 billion (28%), cigarettes-Rs. 553 million (70%), auto-parts-Rs 492 million (113%), electronic goods- Rs. 380 million (67%), Diesel-Rs. 899 million (93%) and Gold/silver bars/jewelry-Rs. 271 million (104%).  

During the current financial year, FBR has also made major seizures of endangered wildlife-falcons, liquor and narcotics.  In addition, Pakistan Customs also played a vital role in seizure of 06 M.Tonns of Iodine used in manufacturing of an illicit drug methamphetamine which was also appreciated by International Agencies like UNODC and US DEA Office. 

Moreover, recent operation led by Pakistan Customs against Illegal POL Outlets has also been a successful attempt in combating the menace of smuggling by sealing more than 2000 illegal outlets all over the country and initiating criminal proceedings against the perpetrators. Due to such landmark steps, local industry is gaining ground as the flow of smuggled goods has decreased drastically during the financial year. Stringent measures have also been adopted to stop reverse flow of smuggle-prone items from unfrequented routes thus resulting into increase of such items in imports. The extra ordinary counter smuggling performance shows FBR’s commitment to combat smuggling and promote trade and local industry. 

رواں مالی سال جولائی تا جنوری 35 ارب روپے کی سمگلنگ اشیاء ضبط کی گئی، ایف بی آر

وزیر اعظم کے ویثرن کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے پاکستان کسٹمز، ایف بی آر نے سمگلنگ کی لعنت کے خاتمے کے لئے قابل ذکر کاروائیاں کی ہیں۔ ان کاروائیوں کی بدولت حوصلہ افزا نتائج حاصل ہوئے ہیں اور مقامی معیشت اور صنعت کی افزائش کے لئے ساز گار ماحول میسر آیا ہے۔

رواں مالی سال جولائی تا جنوری59 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 35  ارب روپے مالیت کی سمگل شدہ اشیاءضبط کی گئی ہیں جبکہ پچھلے سال جولائی تا جنوری  22ارب  روپے مالیت کی سمگل شدہ اشیاء ضبط کی گئی تھی۔اس طرح رواں مالی سال کے پہلے سات ماہ میں ایف بی آر کی سمگلنگ کی روک تھام کی کاروائیوں میں اور ضبط شدہ اشیاء کی مالیت پچھلے سال بارہ ماہ  کے برابر ہو گئی ہے جو کہ 36ارب روپے تھی۔ 

رواں مالی سال ضبط شدہ اشیاء میں 66 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 11.3 ارب روپے مالیت کی بغیر کسٹمز ادائیگی کی گاڑیاں، 105 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 3.4 ارب روپے کی چھالیہ، 28 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 1.9 ارب روپے کا کپڑا، 70 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 553 ملین روپے کے سیگریٹس، 113 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 492 ملین روپے کے آٹو پارٹس، 67 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 380 ملین روپے کی الیکٹرانک اشیاء، 93 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 899 ملین روپے کا ڈیزل  اور 104 فیصد اضافہ کے ساتھ 271 ملین روپے کے زیورات و جواہرات شامل ہیں۔

رواں مالی سال بڑی  مالیت کی شراب ، نہایت قیمتی اور نایاب باز اور  بڑی مقدار میں منشیات بھی ضبط کی گئی جو کہ ایف بی آر کی سمگلنگ کی روک تھام کے لئے کی گئی کاوشوں کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ پاکستان کسٹمز نے 6 ملین ٹن کی آیوڈین بھی ضبط کی جو کہ غیر قانونی منشیات کے بنانے میں استعمال کی جاتی ہے۔ اس کاروائی کی تعریف بین الاقوامی ایجنسیز نے بھی کی ہے۔

مزید برآں غیر قانونی پٹرول پمپس کے خلاف موثر کاروائیوں کے نتیجے میں 2000 غیر قانونی پٹرول پمپس سیل کئے گئے اور ذمہ داران کے خلاف تادیبی کاورائی کا آغاز کیاگیا۔ ان اقدامات کے نتیجے میں مقامی صنعت کو اپنے کاروباربڑھوتری کے لئے سازگار ماحول میسر آیا ہے جس کے باعث ملکی معیشت پروان ہو رہی ہے۔
