The Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (IR), Lahore on receipt of credible information related to sales tax fraud carried out action under Section 38 read with Section 40 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 against M/s. Innovative Biscuits (Pvt.) Limited. Lahore. Assessment order was issued wherein an amount of Rs. 4.27 billion as sales tax along with default surcharge and 100% penalty for tax fraud was imposed upon the registered person

Accordingly, accused Sheikh Munir Hussain, one of the Directors of M/s Innovative Biscuits (Pvt.) Limited. was arrested. Due to proper presentation of case by Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (IR). Lahore, two bail applications filed by the accused were rejected by Special Judge. Subsequently. the accused filed another application for bail before Lahore High Court. The Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench, Rawalpindi granted post arrest bail to the petitioner on deposit of an amount of Rs. 300 (Million) and submission of post dated cheque of Rs. 100(Million). The legal process is underway against the accused.

Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation-IR has performed commendably well in the current Financial Year from July-2020 to April 2021. The Directorate General has forwarded 1210 Investigation Reports involving revenue of Rs. 197,714 million to the field formations. The Directorate General conducted 40 raids where estimated revenue amounting to Rs. 761 million is involved. Directorate General filed 67 complaints under Anti-Money Landering Act, 2010 against 75 accused persons involving Rs. 55.385 million. Directorate General also seized 6667 cartons of illegal cigarettes.

ڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل آئی اینڈ آئی ، آئی آر نے لاہور میں بڑی سیلز ٹیکس چوری کو پکڑ لیا

فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو کےڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل انٹیلی جنس و انوسٹی گیشن آئی آر لاہور نے سیلز ٹیکس ایکٹ 1990 کی شق 38 اور 40 کے تحت مصدقہ اطلاع ملنے پر لاہور میں واقع انوویٹیو بسکٹ کے خلاف سیلز ٹیکس چوری کرنے پر ایکشن لیا۔ اسیسمنٹ آرڈر کے تحت رجسٹرڈ شخص کے خلاف 4.27 ارب روپے کا سیلز ٹیکس بمہ ڈیفالٹ سرچارج اور ٹیکس فراڈ پر 100 فیصد جرمانہ عائد کر دیا گیا۔

انوویٹیو بسکٹ کے ڈائیریکٹر شیخ منیر حسین کو گرفتار کر لیا گیا۔ ڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل  لاہور کی طرف سے کیس کے بہترین دفاع پر دو مرتبہ سپیشل جج نے ملزم کی ضمانت رد کر دی۔ تاہم لاہور ہائی کورٹ راولپنڈی بینچ نے 300 ملین روپے اور 100 ملین روپے کا چیک جمع کروانے پر ملزم کو ضمانت  پر رہائی دے دی۔ ملزم کے خلاف قانون کے تحت کاروائی جاری ہے۔

رواں مالی سال جولائی 2020 سے اپریل 2021 تک ڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل انٹیلی جنس اینڈ انوسٹی گیشن کی کارکردگی بہترین رہی ہے۔ ڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل نے 197714 ملین روپے کے ریونیو سے متعلق 1210 انوسٹی گیشن رپورٹس ایف بی آر کے ذیلی دفاتر کو بھیجی ہیں۔ ڈائیریکٹوریٹ جنرل نے 40  چھاپوں کے بعد 761 ملین روپے کی ٹیکس چوری کو بے نقاب کیا ہے۔ اینٹی منی لانڈرنگ ایکٹ 2010 کے تحت 75 ملزمان کے خلاف 67 شکایات فائل کی جا چکی ہیں جس میں 55.385 ملین روپے کا ریونیو بے نقاب ہوا ہے ۔ اسی طرح غیر قانونی سگریٹس کے 6667 کارٹنز ضبط کئے ہیں۔
