Visit of Chairperson FBR - Amnesty Outreach Programme
On 16th July, 2018, Ms. Rukhsana Yasmin, Chairperson Federal Board of Revenue alongwith Member-IT visited field formations of FBR at Lahore and chaired a meeting of senior most officers of LTU, CRTO and RTO-II, Lahore. Senior representatives of ICAP, Lahore Tax Bar & Pakistan Tax Bar also attended the same. The meeting was singularly focused on the Tax Amnesty Scheme and its different dimensions. A review of response of business community of Pakistan in general and province of Punjab in particular was shared with the officers.
The Chairperson shared that now Federal Board of Revenue have OECD data and have complete information about the particulars of Pakistani nationals who have undeclared properties in UK , Dubai and other countries . Now FBR is also in possession of quantum of rental income earned from them. She urged the participants to play a proactive role in creating awareness about the benefits of Tax Amnesty scheme among the business community of these cities, enabling them to declare their undeclared assets and get immunity on them for future.
