RTO II Karachi - Campaign by RTO-II, Karachi for awareness and benefits of the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS)

CAMPAIGN BY RTO-II, KARACHI FOR AWARENESS AND BENEFITS OF THE VOLUNTARY TAX COMPLIANCE SCHEME(VTCS).

The Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office-II Karachi, Ms. Seema Shakil held a meeting with representatives of various Trade Associations, Karachi on 11th February, 2016 in her office, for creating awareness and understanding of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) among the business community. All the commissioners of RTO-II, namely Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Rahu, Mr. Maroof Gilani, Mr. Abdul Rehman Bullo, Mr. Ejaz Khan, were also present on the occasion.

The representatives of the trade organizations included namely Mr. Atiq Mir, Chairman All Karachi Tajir Ittehad ; Haji Ansar Beg Qadri, President All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Liaqatabad ; Mr S.M Asif Vice president All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Liaqatabad, Mr. Aziz Piprani, Chairman Karachi Timber Market Association and Mr. Muhammad Asif, President Allahwala Cloth Merchant Welfare Association.
During the meeting salient features of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme and its benefits were explained to the participants at length. Copies of the brochures/pamphlets in Urdu, containing salient features of the Scheme, were handed over to the representatives of Trade Associations for their guidance.
During her address, The Chief Commissioner, RTO-II Karachi, elaborated the benefits of the Scheme. During the question/answer session, queries of the participants on different aspects of the Scheme were answered to the satisfaction of the traders. At the end, all the participants showed full satisfaction with the Scheme and promised to extend their complete cooperation to make the VTCS successful.
The honorable Chief Commissioner told the participants that the officers and officials have been directed to reach out to traders and markets within their jurisdiction and to convince them of the benefits of this Scheme. Mr. Atiq Mir, Chairman All Karachi Tajir Ittehad and others assured the honorable Chief Commissioner that they will assist and provide every help to FBR staff in establishing kiosks at different market premises.
In the end, the honorable Chief Commissioner thanked the trader representatives for their coming and assuring help to make this Scheme a success.
