MEMBER IT HOLDS E-FILING WORKSHOP IN LAHORE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY
As a part of FBR’s campaign to reach out to taxpayers and facilitate them in filing their returns, Member IT held an e-filing workshop in the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Monday, September 18th, 2017. The workshop was attended by more than 200 members of the chamber.
Member IT apprised the participants of the importance of filing their returns in time and explained that in order to avoid unnecessary burden on Iris in the last days of September, it would be beneficial for the taxpayers to ensure that their returns are filed well before 30 th September, the last date for filing of returns.
The workshop included a presentation given by Mr. Zain ul Abidin Sahi, Chief IT, on e-filing in which the participants were briefed about who was liable to file return electronically and given a step by step guide on how to e-file their returns. In the Question and Answer session after the presentation, the participants showed a keen interest in the subject and used the opportunity to get a clearer concept of the process of e-filing.
The participants greatly appreciated and welcomed the outreach initiative by FBR. Members of the chamber pledged their support to FBR’s drive to increase the number of returns and resolved to pass on the message to their employees to ensure that all those liable to file their returns fulfilled their national obligation.
After successful workshops in Lahore, IT Wing plans to conduct similar workshops in other cities including Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot next week.
