Khawaja Muhammad Shafique, Chairman, All Pakistan Traders Association, Mr. Ajmal Baloch, President, APTA, Mr. Naeem Mir, General Secretary, APTA, Khawaja Ahmed Hanif, President, Anjuman-e-Tajran, Sargodha, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed Mirza, President, Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Mr. Muhammad Shakir Naveed, Vice Chairman SCCI, Mr. Fazal-Ur-Rehman, Ex-Chairman, SCCI, Mr. Gulzar A. Sheikh, Chairman Income Tax Committee, SCCI and all the other representatives of Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry and representatives of Trade Bodies of Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar and Mandi Bahauddin attended the seminar. A large number of traders of the areas falling within the territorial jurisdiction of RTO Sargodha also participated in the Symposium.
After recitation from Holy Quran, Malik Shehryar Akram Awan, DCIR gave a detailed presentation on multimedia, in Urdu, for guidance of the participants. In the presentation, the benefits and main features of the Scheme for existing taxpayers as well as new taxpayers were highlighted separately.
Mr. Naeem Mir, Khawaja Muhammad Shafique, Mr. Ajmal Baloch, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed Mirza, Khawaja Ahmed Hanif during their address to the participants, highlighted all aspects and benefits of the Scheme including immunity from Audit.
At the end, Mr. Saleem Raza Asif, Chief Commissioner, RTO Sargodha addressed the gathering and thanked the guests.
The representatives of print media and electronic media gave coverage of the event in the national as well as local newspapers and TV Channels.
During the question/answer session, questions/queries raised by the participants on different aspects of the Scheme were answered in detail. All the participants showed their satisfaction with the Scheme and promised to extend their cooperation to make the VTCS successful.
It may be pertinent to mention that after holding the Symposium, 73 returns have been filed in RTO Sargodha upto 02-03-2016 and Tax at Rs 7.270 Million has been paid with these returns. It is expected that during the coming days, the number of such returns and tax will increase substantially.
